10. Sigur Ros - Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust
Upped the tempo on this one and won a lot of new fans.
Sigur Ros - Gobbledigook

9. Black Kids - Partie Traumatic
Fun.
Black Kids - I've Underestiimated My Charm (Again)

8. Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago
Haunting, heart-wrenching stuff. Makes you feel as though you are in that Wisconsin cabin.
Bon Iver - Skinny Love

7. Does It Offend You, Yeah? - You Have No Idea What You're Getting Yourself Into
Hard to put a genre on this brilliant debut, but that is probably why it appealed so much.

Does It Offend You, Yeah? - We Are Rockstars

6. Frightened Rabbit - Midnight Organ Fight
A bit like Snow Patrol with edgier lyrics. Love it.
Frightened Rabbit - Keep Yourself Warm

5. Santogold - Santogold
Glitter vomit cover art = very solid debut.
Santogold - Lights Out

4. MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
Electric Feel, Time To Pretend and Kids could have all easily made my top 20 song list.
MGMT - Kids

3. Crystal Castles - Crystal Castles
Hands down the most original sound of the year.
Crystal Castles -Untrust Us

2. Cut Copy - In Ghost Colours
Melbourne's best brought the best of the 80's to '08.

1. Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend
An album that had me at first listen and still has me almost a year later, still can't find a weakness.
Vampire Weekend - Oxford Comma

Unlucky to miss: Mercy Arms, Hot Chip, Van She, Cut Off Your Hands, Death Cab For Cutie
