Maslow's Need For New Music!

That Maslow dude. Loves it.

First off...I'd like to personally thank The Temper Trap for a stellar performance last Friday at the Corner in Melbourne. After an epic main set, the local lads returned to an excitable crowd with an encore that ended with a brilliant cover of Bruce 'The Boss' Springsteen's Dancing in the Dark. Yes. MASSIVE!
Secondly, thanks to Paco for picking up the slack of late, recently my blogging has taken a back seat to job and house hunting, and according to Maslow and his hierachy of needs, one needs shelter and security before they dare think about blogging!
Thirdly, fear no more DE NADA fans cos I've found a spare hour to prove Maslow wrong and bring you the latest and greatest to your craving ears. Here's the best on offer from some emerging new artists:

LOCAL NATIVES / MYSPACE
This LA five-piece were mentioned as one of the buzz bands from SXSW...it's easy to why. Think a mix between Fleet Foxes and Vampire Weekend.

DELPHIC / MYSPACE
Featured as one of NME's '10 New Bands You Need to Hear This Week', Delphic remind me of a more epic sounding Friendly Fires. Quality stuff.
mp3: Delphic - Counterpoint

MIRRORS / MYSPACE
Unsigned from the UK and likened to early New Order, Look at Me is all they've got out at the moment, but this is a massive track. I've had this tune on repeat for a couple of weeks now and I'm really looking forward to hearing more from Mirrors.
mp3: Mirrors - Look At Me

FOL CHEN / MYSPACE
Another SXSW '09 favorite, this Californian band have gained alot of attention with this first single. Catchy.
mp3: Fol Chen - Cable TV

Remember to support the artists and BUY their music! Find the links on their MYSPACE pages.
